On 12/02/2011 I decided to blog about one of my favorite persons. My Mom. When I read to her what I had written, she said “Thank you baby.” That was what she called me and my siblings, and to other people who knew her she would refer to them as “Sugar”. It was a special honor to be considered one of her babies. A few months ago I decided to share what I had written about my mom with my family and friends. My mom passed away in March, and we all came together to honor her life. I miss her dearly and miss her words of wisdom. For months I decided not to share this personal loss. What does the loss of my mother have to do with Laguna Candles, my business? Absolutely nothing, but I will always remember her telling me to just hang on when I wanted to give up on my dream and just quit. For those of you who might be dealing with insurmountable challenges in life with family, business, or just life in general. I would like to share my mother’s words. “Don’t give up, just hang on Sugar” I hope this gives you the courage to keep moving forward. It has for me. This one’s for you mom!
